A new class action lawsuit was filed against Google on January 20, 2023, alleging that the company’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones are defective and prone to overheating. The lawsuit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, seeks damages for consumers who have purchased the affected devices.

2020: Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL
Law firm Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP (CSK&D) just said they’re beginning to investigate a potential class action lawsuit against Google over Pixel 3/3XL phones problems.

2019: Pixel and Pixel XL (first generation)
Again, thanks to law firm Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP (CSK&D), Google agreed to pay $7.25 million to settle the case as they denied the allegations that Pixels have a defect that leads to microphone or speaker failures.

2019: Nexus 6P
On May 2017, Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP (CSK&D) filed a first amended class action complaint against Google and Huawei, regarding the Nexus 6P problems reported by many users.

On November 12, 2019, the court granted final approval of $9.75 millions Nexus 6P settlement. Huawei Device USA, Inc. and Google LLC, denied these allegations but have agreed to pay $9.75 million to settle the case.

2017/2018?: Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
