Google announced the Pixel 4a 5G on September 30, 2020, and it was released on October 15th, in the U.S. It succeeds the Pixel 4 released one year earlier (2019) and was released approximately at the same time (a mont earlier) than the Pixel 5 and the pixel 4a (an month later).
The Pixel 4a5g is a 6.2″ beast with a FHD+ (1080×2340) OLED display. It’s a mix of specification from the Pixel 4a and the Pixel 5 (Snapdragon 765G, 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage, a battery in between, and a 5G chip.

The pixel 3 phones have been particularly affected by issues. Many user reported problems only a few weeks after launch. Bigger problems came after a year or so, whereas at the beginning it was more like smaller problems like microphone malfunction, or software issues.
Pixel 4a 5G overheating issue
Similar the the Pixel 5, many users are reporting some overheating problems with their brand new Pixel 4a 5g. This is a common problem, but most likely hard to be assessed and fix. Who can tell if the phone become hot, or too hot? This is a bit of a personal judgment, but when a lot of people are complaining, this is worth looking at the matter. We hope Google will keep us posted about the overheating problem.
Pixel 4a5G touch issues:
After some updates (December 2020 update), the pixel 4a5g may not register/recognize user’s touches. It’s especially annoying when using gestures or bottom navigation bars.

Is there a class action for the Pixel 4a 5G ?
The pixel 4a 5G being out not so long ago, there is clearly not enough time and issue for any class action to happen. We’ll se after one or two years of use, if customers encounter a lot of issues or not.
